When I was in Kabul in 2004 one of my favorite things to do was intercultural communications with locals outside Camp Julien roughly every second Monday. I think it took two hours to check the the sales people and their goods. and vehicles. The vehicles were mostly trucks and the occasional wagon. Here, I wasn’t on duty but wanted to take the pic. You can see the gun isn’t pointed at the civilians.
