Time well spent- 1970 Chevrolet C10

So I’ve had this truck since about 1994 when I bought it for $1000 after selling my 1973 Ford p/u in Wainwright Alberta while serving there as a mechanic in the Canadian Army. Though I still in the military and a vehicle tech, that is for another time.

Lower and Upper A-Arms

Control Arms bought three years ago finally get attached to Heavensent

I have been working on the white Chevy, “Heavensent”,  for the past month changing the engine, the brakes from drum to disk, the ball joints, the upper and lower control arms and a few other things such as welding patches into the inner fenders.

305 replaces 350 due to rebuild

I have the truck long enough to realize its a great vehicle and that working on it now, while its sunny, is the best thing I can do for it in order for it to last.

There’s a lot that will still need to be done to Heavensent but its one thing at a time. Image

  1. Aww, where’s it’s body shot??

  2. Reblogged this on BIGBOLT101 and commented:

The next day, the engine went in with a little bit of jiggling…you got to like it when that happens!
