Here’s a build done in Austin, Texas that was spotted on Craigslist.
I thought it’s cool because it uses the frame off a Chevy S-10 (a pretty common chassis) and then an older Dodge pick up was mounted on top. I like the look of it and the simplicity of using modern suspension, drivetrain and steering helps save lots of time and fussing about.
Not saying its the best but it’s a start! The seller, (from Craigslist- posted 11 Dec 2013), had the frame setup for small block chevy and although it had no glass, engine or transmission, the asking price was $4500 (US) or trade classic car, truck, motorcycle,4×4 send pictures 325-214-0030 rat rod/street rod.
You could probably make a truck like this for cheaper but sometimes its about being in the right spot at the right time.
