69 ratrod bugOk, it doesn’t look pretty yet thats purely subjective, yes?

Check out this 1969 bug an owner  has been building into a Volksrod, admittedly he states, “ I just haven’t been able to finish it.” With all the work done so far, I am sure it would end up looking pretty cool.

Chopped 8 inches!

Chopped 8 inches!

It shows there has been plenty done already to it, most of it, in fact. The top is chopped 8 inches. Wow! It has an early model hood, early model (slightly worn) re-upholstered velour seats, low back front seats, Crow Ent. Lap belts offset rear wheels w/ stock fronts, and sits on white walls. The front end is a rebuilt link pin front end w/ 2.5inch drop spindles and a 10 inch beam extender, – Slammed! Equipped with the 1641cc motor w/ a mild Engle 100 Cam, Webber 40 idf carb.

The brakes are bled/ adjusted, but it needs a windshield, a little wiring for headlights and tail lights, new tie rod ends, a brace for the steering extension, and the registration. It is currently in special construction category via the DMV.

It needs to be hauled via trailer, so you can’t test drive. The owner would possibly trade for anolder off-road truck- f150 or ranger, a 1950’s car or truck (Ford preferred), or a Harley, or something along these lines no abstract bullshit… Asking $4,000 – $3,000 less motor .

69 ratrod bug 2Call 760-755-9112, if you’re serious just make an offer. Its a great starting place for a Volksrod but too far for me, its in California. Besides I still got to finish what I have before getting some more to work on, no?
